Back to School Flashback

Last year my first born took her first step into Kindergarten.
It was such a big event for us!
I wanted to ease the anxiety of it all so,
I hosted a Back to School party.
Here is a flashback to all of the details!

Class list on the front door greeted the kids
Name Plates for lunch
And chocolate covered pretzels crayons!

Brown sack lunches and
cupcakes at the back sale
I made these cute little cupcake toppers with each kids picture
They turned out so cute and the kids loved them!

Everything was labeled
"D" is for Drinks
"P" is for Pencils
"L" is for Lunch

The kids had a pencil hunt,
show and tell,
and several crafts .
At each station they earned tickets to spend at the back sale!

There is one thing that I have learned looking back this party...
I did not take very good pictures!

I have considered hosting another Back to School party
No details as of yet!
Anyone else making Back to School party plans?

Non Conventional Tea Party

This is my kind of tea party!
Don't get me wrong...
I still love the pink frilly stuff but,
sometimes drinks in mason jars instead of tea cups,
pizza for tea sandwiches,
and face painting
can be more fun for kids of preschool age!
This beautiful party was designed by a very talented mom
and photographer of TSJ Photography.

Check out this party space!

I would die for this much room in my house!

Lovely photo cookies in adorable mini suitcases!

Rustic Backdrop

I love weddings!
Right now it seems there is a huge
trend towards old and vintage.
I am loving this vintage fence background!
The yellow chest just pops off the wood...

Check out that entrance...so original.
They even put windows in!

Of course the added touches....

Beautiful rustic setting....

Paper Flowers

We all know that pom pom tissue flowers
are a very popular item at parties these days.
They are inexpensive and very versatile with so many color options.
Well, move over pom poms!
I have a new paper flower to love!
These beauties were designed by
Revelry Event Designers .

There is so much to love about these flowers.
The texture and shapes are so crispy but airy.
The illumination behind the white fabric is just beautiful!
Just maybe I can make this on a smaller scale!
Don't tempt me!

Cool it...

If you have visited my blog very much you know that I love

She has come up with another fabulous design and idea
to treat your neighbors!
Fill a colorful tub with some popsicles
and tie it up with this fabulous tag!

Or put a tag right on top of a box of frozen popsicles!

We are leaving for vacation this week and
our lovely neighbors will be taking care
of our mail etc.
I think I will leave this on their door step as a thank you!

Wonka Themed 15th Birthday

This was one fabulous 15th birthday party / quince
for a very luck girl named Sophia!
The event was designed by the very talented
Jennifer J Events .

Looks liked they spared no expense for this 15 year old!
The backyard was transformed into a party palace with a fully draped tent!
Lanterns and parasols hung from the ceiling with uplighting for a dramatic effect.
Modern decor was used such as lucite chivari chairs (love these),
white lounge furniture, green orchids with submersible led lights,
and mini cubes of wheat grass!
Are you kidding?
This is beautiful, fun and whimsical!
And I love it!

And of course the signature drinks..
The Sofi-tini and the Sophito!
How cute!

Sweets station....

Custom candy bar wrappers
Created by their in house graphic designer
and used throughout the party!

YUM...

And the Photobooth...

Friday Cocktail

I'll have one of these...
Happy Friday!

Guinness Milkshake

3 jumbo scoops of premium vanilla ice cream
3 ounces chilled Guinness beer
2 ounces chocolate syrup

1. Add the beer and chocolate syrup to the ice cream.

2. Mix just until blended; the mixture should be very thick.

3. Drizzle inside of a glass with chocolate syrup and pour shake in.

This makes 1 cocktail...
I am going to have to triple the recipes...wink!

Feeling Lucky...

I am feeling lucky so I entered a
fabulous giveaway that
Amy at Stem Parties is hosting!
I thought I would share the love with you
and tell you to head on over and
enter for your chance to win $100 towards
party invitations of your choice
These are just a few that
you could choose from!
Aren't they great?
Oh...and a funny side note..
I have been a casual blogger acquaintance
with Amy at Stem for over a year.
Well, I was reading her blog one morning
(as I do every morning..she is fabulous)
and saw her post on going home for
her high school reunion!
What do you know....I knew so many people
in her pictures!
What a small world!
I feel like she is my long lost sister!
Funny huh?
You just never know
the connections you will make in blog land!
